When
The committee meets in September, November, February, May and July with the express purpose of planning and organising the annual Tibberton show, held on the third Saturday of August every year.
The Tibberton Show has a long history, dating back into the last part of the nineteenth century. We are proud to say that it has now been running continuously since 1945!
The Show consists of a large marquee housing the competition entries – Horticultural sections, both local and open; Floral arrangements; Cookery and Needlework; Photography and Creative Arts; and a large Children’s section, with competitions for pre-school tots to teenagers. All are welcome to enter, only the horticultural local section is restricted.
In addition to the marquee, the Show is also a popular village fete, featuring music and entertainment, a dog show, sideshows and stalls and demonstrations where local people and visitors can enjoy the lovely countryside, traditional and more modern pursuits, with refreshments including afternoon tea, a barbecue, and a licensed bar.
