Hereford Seed Swap The Courtyard Theatre Hereford HR4 9JR Beginners and seasoned gardeners are invited to swap seeds, plants and tips. Those with nothing to swap can still join in and take home some seeds or plants, with cash contributions gratefully received. Tools in need of sharpening can be brought along for service, and unwanted or broken tools can be donated to 'Tools for Self Reliance'. 11am Free talk by Tamsin Westhorpe 'Plan for your best ever summer garden'. Talk by Val Bourne 'Growing Organic Vegetables - Successful strategies in the Cotswolds' Northleach Gloucestershire Val Bourne is an award-winning garden writer, organic gardener and lecturer. Val will be sharing her strategies for growing organic vegetables successfully in her own third of an acre at Spring Cottage in Cold Aston, making her talk especially pertinent for Cotswolds residents. Clifton & Hotwells Open Gardens Bristol Visitors will again have access to more than 20 communal gardens & squares which are mostly private, with a variety of refreshments and entertainment. There are a mixture of formal gardens, woodland & wild gardens. There will be talks, conducted tours, a tree trail, and singing with local choirs. Tickets cover both days and are available in advance £8 from Eventbrite, or £7 on the day from 10.30am under the archway on Boyce's Avenue in Clifton Village. Putley Open Gardens Putley Herefordshire HR8 2QN There will be several gardens for you to visit and plenty of refreshments - bacon butties, light lunches and tea & cake served in Putley Parish Hall, along with the occasional ‘beverage’ available in some of the gardens.
